ADLs affected by restriction
- Walking
- Running
- Standing
- Lying supine or prone (if pelvis is abnormally tilted) TIP 167
[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-pencil-square-o” title=”Notes” tab_id=”1453756137595-198c58d9-8a45584b-831a” add_icon=”true”][vc_column_text]
Special Notes
- If there is excessive lumbar lordosis and/or the pelvis is tilted anteriorly, the hip joint will be in artificial flexion and ROM of extension of the hip will appear more restricted than it actually is
- If the hip flexors are short, there will be restricted extension of the hip likely and the spine has to go into lordosis to compensate
- The gluteus maximus should be firing in hip extension TIP 170
