- Thoracic spine is evenly and not excessively curved (convex posteriorly)
- Mid line of lateral chest is on plumb line
- Lumbar spine is evenly and not excessively curved (concave posteriorly)
You See
- Lack of lumbar lordosis (flat back)
- Pelvis is tilted posteriorly and/or displaced anteriorly
- Hip is extended
- Thoracic Spine is excessively kyphotic (to compensate for flat lumbar spine)
Likely Cause
- Posterior pelvic tilt
- Short hamstrings
- Long hip flexors
- Stretched PLL (Chaitow)
- Thoracic kyphosis
- Hip is hyperextended
